Study Permit restoration from outside canada

Hi , I was international student in Vancouver Simon Fraser Uni. I went to Pakistan and then due to covid my study permit got expired. Now I again got admission in Toronto University and they allowed me to attend the on line classes due to covid19. Do I need the study permit and How can I re-apply for study permit now from Pakistan?

Hi i was in a similar situation, you can’t apply for extension or restoration if you are outside Canada. One of the eligibility is to be inside Canada. While trying to apply online there is a question whether you are in Canada or not. Student permit extension or restoration option becomes available only if you answered yes. Otherwise it is just generic student permit option. So either you end up misinterpreting that you are in Canada or you could apply for new permit like me.

Can’t say anything regarding the processing time of student permit. I’m just waiting as well.
