Study permit proof of funds (living w/ relatives in Canada)

One of the requirements for proof of funds is the $10,000 living expenses. However, I will be staying with my uncle for the whole duration of my studies. In this case, can I just state in my letter that I'll be staying with a relative and will showing the payment for tuition be enough? Or do I still need to show that I have the 10k?

No - payment for the tuition will not be enough. Yes - you must still show you have the additional $10,000 to cover living expenses.
