Hey All,

I'm an applicant from India.

I've got admitted into a PhD program at McMaster University with scholarship/TAships that cover my tuition expenses and about 50% of my living expenses.

I have applied for Study Permit and a Temporary Resident Visa for my spouse in my application.
Submitted it online on July 8. I was asked to upload my past educational degrees and certificates on July 9. Did it.

Me and the missus had done medical last week at a panel physician's clinic. I checked with the clinic and they confirmed that reports have been sent to CIC.

But when I login into CIC, it still says "Review of Medical Results: We need your medical information".

Has anyone else faced this problem?

I dropped an email to CIC yesterday telling them that my medical is done and gave them my passport number/medical receipt number so that they could update the status. No reply from them.

If this status keeps showing, does that mean visa processing will not start?

Please share your views on this, guys.

1. The medical are not sent by the Panel Physician to CIC directly, they go the Immigration Regional Medical Centre, where they are reviewed. It then takes about 2/3 weeks for CIC to receive the results. So relax.

@jerin

The medical centre gives you an acknowledgement saying you've completed the tests.
The report does not come to us directly.

I've uploaded the acknowledgement. Report would be sent to them directly by the clinic.
Or as @PMM says, it goes to Immigration Regional Medical Centre who review it and then I guess send it to CIC.

Dear housemd my medical results were updated within three days of medical examination.I appeared for medical examination on 16th June 2014 and on 20th June the status was updated as "PASSED".

@duster do you know what "PASSED" status means?
I got the same status yesterday.

Dear canela "PASSED" status means you dont have any adverse in medical exams and you definitively have cleared medical portion of the application.

@duster thank you for your response.

I can't wait for the final letter, wish me luck!

Dear all.

I already recieved the passport request letter!!! I'm happy.
Now is only a matter of stamping the visa in the passport and it's done!
