Hello all
I am Canadian PR. Getting married soon. My would-be spouse is in India. CPC Mississauga and New Delhi might take more than 9 months to grant my spouse PR as this is second marriage for both of us (they might do additional investigation).
So, Can I get married, send application for sponsorship to CPC and then ask my spouse to apply for study permit?
I understand study permit is dual intent and you can apply for studypermit while your PR is in process.
But does this apply for spouse being sponsored too? (dual intent application of study permit needs you to show that you leave Canada if PR is turned down. However, how to prove the spouse would leave if spousal sponsorship is turned down?). What are the chances of getting it?
Anybody has any knowledge? please help.
Thanks.
