Study Permit Extensions

So all the previous threads seems to be gone. This thread is dedicated to those who wish to share information on their study permit extension timelines.

I applied on May 24th and still nothing :/

Really odd. looks like everything got wiped. Nothing yet either. Applied June 8th. Did see someone who applied mid May get an approval late last week in a thread.

I Am from India and my btech % is 65%.
With this % am I qualified for ms or should I go for pg diploma ?
And if pg diploma then can I do ms after 1 year of Pg diploma ?
Please help

I also just saw that online TRV applications are being processed in 11 days. Wish that was the case for SP extensions!

Applied on 28th May, and I don't think it'll be ready for September in the pace CIC is processing the applications.
I mean, they're still analyzing the application they received on 12th April, no way that there will be enough time!
Unless a miracle occurs, of course. (which is not very likely).

My application just got approved!!
I applied on June 8th, 2015 for changing status from worker to student. I received this letter in mycic today morning:
"Your application to remain in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved. A secure document has
been mailed to you at the address that you provided when you made your application. If you have not received
your secure document within six weeks, contact CIC."
The letter is dated for July 21,2015
I had not been expecting to get my study permit before September as they have very long processing time on their website, but apparently they are processing the applications faster and their processing time on the website is not that accurate. I guess this is a good news for everybody else who is waiting for his study permits in Canada.
By the way, Does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to mail the original study permit? (I live in Toronto)

Congrats! I applied on June 8th as well so hopefully my application is in queue. Did you receive any updates emails etc before you got the approval?

I think only Quebec students are getting faster processing time since we already have Quebec approval letter before applying for extension.

Me and aa105942 are both studying in Quebec so that makes sense I gues why we got it quick.
