Hi guys! I am very new here and would really like some advice or insights since I'm feeling a little lost.
I applied for an extension (I am still in canada and my current permit expires on september 30th, 2020) for my study permit in February but the process of eligibility have yet to start. In the application I have mentioned that "more time is needed due to unforeseeable medical issue", because I had a VP shunt implant surgery done in 2018.
my question is, does that matter much for study permit extension? I am doing very well health wise and academic wise currently, and the chance of replacing the shunt within ten years is very low.
If it says the eligbility check hasnt started yet, does that mean they have yet to look over my files? I only received updates right when I submitted the files that they had received it.
Thanks in advance!
