We finally got visa approval, visitor permit for the mum and study permit for the child.

You might call it confusion, but that is your own opinion. I might have done it wrongly, or maybe didn't thought it through then.

Upfront medical for the student was done end of October

When you were filling the webform, under visa office where your application is being processed, did you choose Nigeria or Kenya?

Finally got my PPR today, timeline is below:

Applied without medicals: June 9th
Biometrics completed and updated: June 15th
Upfront medicals done without letter: Sept 13th
Medical request letter: Sept 16th
Medicals updated and passed: Oct 19th
BVL and OPR: Oct 27th

Submitted - July 26th, Medical request received - Oct 4th, Medical done - Oct 12th and passed Oct 15th. PPR received Oct 28th....
