Wow... I am so sorry to hear about your unfortunate predicament. The entire confusion about who can travel to Canada is from the IRCC and CBSA. The goal post is always moving, they tell the airlines one thing and the airlines interpreted it as something else so they put measures that are not required in place.Hello guys, I was denied boarding my flight on June 27th on the premise of getting a secondary confirmation from a “discretionary group” from Canada, I was told without this confirmation I would not be allowed to enter the plane, the response from the group came 3 hours after my flight had left and I was told I could only travel 4 weeks before my classes start. Now the problem is that my student visa would have expired by then. Any advice please?
Background info:
-I already have a visa and acceptance letter from my school
-My school is a registered DLI
-My program starts September but I won’t be able to enroll until mid august.
- I was denied boarding in Abuja international airport in Nigeria
Please is this secondary check only happening in Nigeria or what? or has anyone else in Nigeria had a similar experience recently?
Here are a few tips that comes to my mind for the future.
1. Before anyone books a ticket, kindly visit the airline's offices and find out exactly what is acceptable to enable boarding.
2. You may want to consider flying from Ghana, because I hear that Nigerian airport authorities are also doing their best to frustrate people who want to travel out of the country.
All the best.
