Wouldn’t GIC will be good? Or Do i need to show additional funds in my account? I have FDs in my name. Also statement of Savings account.
FDs are fine.. I just showed them with a bank letter that the funds can be liquidated anytime.. plus GIC n tuition fees paid... if it exceeds 25k you are safe

Firstly you have to choose in which catagory do you want to apply for study permit, SDS or non-SDS. Because both have different requirements.
Right now with the time left for me to apply, what are the chances i get my study permit with non-SDS? I have to start my course online in September.

If you setisfy all the requirements for sds catagory I suggest you should apply in sds because it has faster processing time then non-sds catagory.

I don’t think that counts as liquid funds
It accounts as liquid funds if you attach a letter from Post Office or where your PPF acooubt is, stating that it can be liquidated anytime

I have a question. People who have already applied but couldn't submit biometrics, do they have to contact IRCC and let them know why they couldn't submit their biometrics? Or IRCC will assess their applications for stage 1 by default?

It should be that they consider for stage 1 by default.
