I applied from India and couldn't submit my biometrics because of VACs closure. I don't need to do medicals since I am a returning student. My previous permit got expired a week ago. I am surprised that my eligibility review hasn't been started yet even though I applied back in April. Anyone applied from India whose eligibility review has already been started?

Yes many applicants from India have had their review of eligibility started who had applied in May and June as well.. Even those with incomplete applications..

Upfront medicals done in July. Biometrics done in the past for visitor visa but visa was rejected at that time.

Hey there, this is my info:

- 18th May, Applied online.
- 2nd July got an upfront medical examination done (in case they ask)
- 21st July Biometrics done.
- 22nd July Eligibility review starting

I almost have the same timeline as yours. I submitted my application on 19th May and did my upfront medical exam on 18th May. I finished my biometric on 14th July and at the same it showed eligibility started to review. But my medical has not passed yet. Still waiting for the good news. I hope it comes this week or next week

I did my medical exam on 18th May. However when I finished biometric on 14th July. There was not update said my medical passed. Do u know why?

Hello all, following for more info!

- applied from U.S.

I applied for study permit from USA on 19th May. I finished my biometric on 14th July and it showed started to review. I did upfront medical exam on 18th May, however, my medical exam had not showed passed yet as I checked last Friday.

Thanks for your reply. I raised a web form and they told me that my file is located at New Delhi visa office. Where is your file located? I guess it depends on where you file is located. Btw, I applied online too, so I don't understand what do they mean by my file is located at New Delhi visa office.

I think it means which office will be reviewing your file.. I don’t really know where’s mine as it isn’t mentioned in the gc account and I have never raised a webform..
