Hi guys,

I wonder if you can tell me whether the Study Guide is the same I received (received May 2012, issued in 2011) or it has been amended? I see a slightly different version online, issued in 2012! and with some new things added to it, like Memorable Quotes on page 66 which I do not have on my study guide? I wonder if the have added new info to the history and other parts in the book too?

I am confused now about which guide book to follow :( i still do the online tests too but would be great to stick to one guide book not to miss anything!

The only two differences (I've observed) are;

1. The added 'Memorable Quotes' section on page 66. The footnotes state that these quotes do not need to be learned for the citizenship test.

2. The notice on Page 2 stating Discover Canada is the only official study guide for the citizenship test. Use other material at your own risk etc etc.

No need to wonder.... Just get the new book and read.

Thanks touche, that is helpful to know. I am talking about the same Discover Canada guide book but finding the online tests helpful too.

Well, that's easy to say. I have no idea when I will be invited to the test but studying one book and getting different tests would not be much fun! I wish they let us know in case of major changes in the guide book!

I know the CIC gets a lot of stick but I believe they are still responsible enough to notify applicants if material changes are made to the study guide. So far both editions have essentially the same content.

Yeah, lets hope so!
