Students in Canada visiting Cuba

Hello everyone,

I'm a full-time student in a Canadian university. I want to visit Cuba (I'm neither from Canada nor from Cuba). However, the problem is my Canadian visa is already expired and I only have Study Permit.

Now, my question is if I could visit Cuba, and then come back to Canada without Canadian Visa. Is that possible? I know that this thing is possible between USA and Canada. I have friends who did exactly the same for US. But I wonder if this is true for Cuba as well.
