Apply for a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Petroleum or Aerospace or Mechatronics or Industrial). Whatever field that you're interested in. Its always advisable not to apply to some Canadian College with an Bachelors in Mechanical Engg coz the chances of rejection are way too high. They will dismiss you as a potent immigrant.

If you have a good profile, you are sure get into into a good University. It'll also be easy to convince the VO.

Univ of Regina
Univ of Alberta
Univ of Saskatchawen (Excuse the Spelling)
Univ of Waterloo
Univ of Toronto (Top Tier University)
Univ of Ottawa (Top Tier University)
Mc Gill University (Top " ")
McMaster University (Top " ")
Concordia University
Carleton University
Univ of British Columbia
Victoria University
Memorial University
Univ of Ryerson

If you have not given your IELTS yet, try scoring sth above 6. Could be crucial if you're goin for a Masters Program.
