Even I was under the same confusion whether to apply owp for spouse at a later stage or to apply it together.. But finally I made up my mind to take risk and applied together last week; study permit for myself and owp for spouse.. Hope to get a positive reply now!!

@ shell2510 : Might be right step . Finger crossed !!! I am also planning 80 % to do as your idea . :D

Hi Guys,

On 20th of April, I have applied SP for me and OWP for my wife, hope that was the correct choice.

The problem that my wife is holding a bachelors in Business and Administration but with no preceding experience.

Best luck for all of you.

@ kinan : why she need experiences , i think it doesn't matter about her study and experiences

@ arif : you mean dnt apply OWP for spouse and student visa together . Might be you have some experiences ;)

Any experiences guys ?

Same situation. My husband is going to apply for student permit and we are confused whether to apply together or not. One of our friends applied in a study permit and TRV for visa. They got the visa on time. So, may be we will apply together as well.Any suggestions?

Any updates guys :D

Hello Folks

Please provide Updates ;D

You can do it either way! I have applied for SP and OWP for my husband at the same time. We have been in Canada since 2014. My friend applied for SP and TRV for husband.. they applied for OWP inside Canada.. this option could be more expensive though because if you hold a TRV you are required to purchase a return ticket. However, on a OWP.. they understand that you will be staying longer in Canada so a 1way ticket will do.
