student visa under General category

is anyone here who has filed student visa under General category??????

pl do reply if anyone out here with same Non Spp category or have any idea regarding this??!!!!

actually i have filed it on 2nd dec 2010.. and my passport status is showing under process at delhi high commision.. was wondering if anyone knw how much time appx it takes??? i have got rejection previously under SPP and now have filed with the required documents.... i had not got any interview call previously.. so what are the chances to get a call and my visa status gets approval??

we both are allmost under the same tree. But my condition is more worst.

i first applied under spp on 22 nov and got a refusal on 13th stating parents income and course mismatch.

I again applied under Non-spp but with premedicals on 17th dec and from 20 dec it was under processing in delhi high commission.



What r my chances?

i got two reasons...

1) i will not be back to my country (as thy require documents to prove financial condition)

2) my applied course dont match with my work exp...

now i have changed my course acc to my prev studies and wrk.. and provided appropriate documents under non spp


but now m more confused coz now my passport status changed as

"Passport has been dispatched through Courier vide Airway Bill #: on . You can also track your passport Status by visiting the website: www.bluedart.com. Incase of Hold Passport: Your Passport has been held on Request at OC Delhi OC."

what it means??? u hav any idea????

@Henas: guess it means they have come to a conclusion and have released your passport via the said courier service. You can track your passport using the reference number indicated.

Even my app status changed on vfs website today. I am expecting to know the outcome by tomorrow or so.

there are two outcomes... whether i will recieve it by tomorrow or the day after... and if not, then in that case i have to get prepared for the interview at delhi.. so thats y i am confused.. and also worried..

@Henas: my app status is no different than yours. Here's what you can do. Since there is no tracking no. on the portal, you should call up blue dart at: 011-66111234. State your passport no. and they shall provide you the Airway bill no. That should allow you to track your passport milestones at the portal, www.bluedart.com

no need to worry and confusion is utterly nonsense. It would be a decision, interview is unimaginable under these circumstances.
