Dear All,

I will be applying for the student visa soon. I want to ask questions regarding the amount that I need to show. I have been admitted to Carleton University for MBA program. The program is of 16 months. The amount written on the admission letter is CAD 26,000 year. According to this amount the total program fee becomes CAD 35,000. My sponsors will be my parents. My father was a chief accountant in Dubai till 2009, he retired after that. My mother is a house wife. I will be showing three bank statements. One account has 16,500 USD which is a joint account of me and my mother. Other two accounts are of my mother and father which has approximately 33.5 lacs PKR. This means I will have a total amount of 50 Lacs in my parent's account which is around CAD 56,000.

The problem with the source of income. My father has 3 properties. One of them is on rent for PKR0 80,000. The other 2 are plots which are not on rent. The source of income is only that PKR 80,000. I am the only dependent child. My elder brother is in Australia. His household income is around AUD 9000 per month before tax (including his and his wife's salary). He does keep money in his bank therefore he will not be able to provide me a bank statement. I want to know if i can attach an Australian affidavit saying that they will cover up all my living expenses and also attach their employment letters and salary slips with their documents.

Thanks & Regards,

Syed Ali Ahmad

Also I would like to add that I studied in University of Nottingham Malaysia campus for three consecutive years and successfully returned back to Pakistan after completing my degree. I think this will give some sort of advantage to my visa application
