First of all< Hello to Every One>
I get My offer letter on 20th March.Then, I apply for GIC on 21 March 2014.
I want to know how many days Scotia Bank takes to give me account no.?
Can i extend my college fee deadline?? It is 28 March!

And the last date of submission of student visa file is 31 March. Can i apply on this day???
Can i use reciept of money transfer to College & for GIC in visa file as proof if cannot get certificate of GIC???
From Punjab, India (I want to apply for May 2014 because Gap of My study is increasing!!!
also, In how many days Chandigarh office will give visa???

gic take 7 days ..you can submit your collage fee ..
after apply file it will take 3 days to give u visa

Dear friend I m also working in Jalandhar as a civil engineer having 7 months gap and want to apply for sep intake in conestoga college. As u have recently applied for GIC but I m sorry to say that ur GIC account will take about 7 working days to open. After that u have to transfer GIC amount 10100 and it will take one week for GIC certificate. Please remember do not apply with bank transfer slips because they will not accept bank receipts for visa application. So if ur are applying for May intake please postpone ur plan. If u want visa apply 4 sept intake.

And yes he is right you are late so try for sept.
open GIC abd fund it and deffer your admission to sept 2014 and pay the fee and then apply.

but my friend told me that you can apply with reciept of GIC. Because i got my offer letter late & therefore they can check online GIC.
but big problem is that i want to send my college fee after i will got my GIC account no.!
Can my college extend my last date of fee deadline???

Better u difer ur admission for sep intake. its getting complicated un necessarily for u. shall create problems for ur visa. Remember ur goal is to get visa. Dont think much about gap, its ok and well justifiable.

Hi Sandeep,

I guess ur friend is wrong here .This is what mentioned in SPP checklist and nothing can be more authenticated then this :

Applications will not be accepted by VFS under the Student Partner Program without a copy of
the formal GIC document issued by Scotia Bank. No wire transfers or bank remittances will be
accepted as a proof of purchase of a GIC.

As suggested by friends in this thread ,the best option for you is to defer ur application to next Intake

You can do your process with swift copy if you don't recieved GIC welcome kit or certificate....

visa refused second time.....please help me

i have been refused visa twice same reason.....you do not have sufficient fund to pay for your tuition,living expenses and transportation without working in canada.

in my first application i submitted a very poor bank statement from my sponsor.

but during the second attempt my sponsor gave me his company coorperative savings statement that shows $100,000.

can anyone help me out on the reason for my refusal the second time after showing the statement with huge amount.

did they says same reason for refusal in second time? what is your relationship to your sponsor? Where from this difference in his bank statement came (BTW you firstt and secnd application)?

yes they say the same reason and my sponsor is my elder brother. i did not get your last question. but in my first application we submitted a very poor bank statement.

My last question is that if your brother has a poor bank statement first time or he was giving you limited amount of money what makes him change his mind second time. Basically visa officer got a doubt that your brother is only showing this amount not actually giving it to you. Now you should try to give vo solid example from past that how your brother helped you financially in the past. Try to get gic and first year full fees payment from his account. This will proove that he is not showing your funds but actually giving it to you.
