Hi All, I need serious help,

I am a student of the University of Windsor in Ontario and an International student. Basically i have applied for an extension of my student visa and got denied 4 times. I had some issues in course of my four years which caused me to withdraw a few times from classes and i also failed some courses. These were emotional issues. I have however gotten over them and I have proof that i have 6 more courses to graduate. In my last application I have provided them with ample evidence from my academic advisor from school and my counsellor who helped me overcome my problems yet i was denied saying : You have not satisfied me that you would leave canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision, i considered several factors, including: purpose of visit

I don't understand it at all. After my first two refusals, which i did in the states (i mailed the application to detroit because i have a valid us visa) because the international student office advised that it was faster, I returned to Ghana which is my Home country and I was denied twice as well with the same reason which i have stated above. I have just 6 courses to graduate and why will i return to Ghana if i wanted to stay in Canada? I just need my degree and I am done with that place. I have also satisfied my residency in my program. I have all the motivation to achieve this goal of graduation.

What can i do now? Do i involve an immigration lawyer? I have wasted so much money on this application process and i really do not want all the money spent in four years gone to null! I just want finish my degree and start my life. I even have a re-admission letter from my school. I am currently enrolled in a certificate course which is going great to while away time...

Someone please advice me on what to do. I am very confused and I need help.. thank you

P.S the reason for my first two refusals have all been satisfied...

I think the reason for the refusals is they don't believe you are a bona fide student. You should have asked to defer a semester or academic year(with approval from your academic advisor & head of department) instead of withdrawing from classes. It never looks good for future study permit applications or admission to other schools.

If you really want to know the visa officer's concerns, apply for GCMS/caips notes on your study permit applications. It's free if you are in Canada(under the privacy act) or if you outside Canada but know someone in Canada(citizen, permanent resident, or person with other legal status), they can apply on your behalf and the cost is $5.

Not completing your studies on time due to withdrwal or u failed in some courses has made the visa officer believe that you are not a bonafide student....in these cases, it is very tough to get visa....i think you should take the help of a lawyer or an expert or a consultant.....

Hi thanks for the advice, but do you think I should pursue this since I am sure if i am given the chance I can graduate? I understand it looks bad but I just want to graduate which i know i can... and I am motivated to.

How does legal help work in this case?

Obviously you should pursue your studies as you have spent a lot of money and time on it...legal hehp does work in these cases...but first of all you should take help of an expert or consultants in your country....
