Passing through first stage means your application paperwork has been examined, no adverse decision has been made based on that examination. Some applicants have incomplete applications due to the situation such as lacking in medicals / criminal records / biometrics, others have submitted the obligatory biometrics and optional depending on situation criminal records / medicals. A great part of applications that passed through the first stage will already be recommended for approval, but IRCC are not approving study permits currently. A great part of application that passed through the first stage with incomplete applications will also eventually be recommended for approval. No the first stage email you received does not mean your study permit has been approved.Does receiving the AIP mean that the application is approved?

I noticed it yday. Send ur wp number to me i ll add u to wp group. There are 3 of us there: musicbebebe@gmail.com

Hi,Hello friends, my timeline as follows:
Online complete application on June 26th
Biometrics completed on June 29th
Review of Eligibility on August 21st
Non EDE Medical exam on August 22
I thought AIP is issued for only incomplete applications but heard from friends that AIP is issued within few days of clearing medical. They may not be in this forum, but I can conclusively say that Canada has started issuing AIP for May applications.
