Strange Job Offer Scenario, Help!!

Hi guys,

I'm currently on a 1 yr working visa in Vancouver and only have 2 and a half months left on it. Yesterday I had a job offer from a company willing to sponsor me. As I'm quite desperate to stay on here I'm strongly considering taking this job offer even though I really don't get a good vibe from being there and its definately not somewhere I see myself long term (even for 2 yrs). I have a degree in IT and about 2 years work experience in the area. I have a few questions around this scenario that I'd be very grateful if someone could answer:

1. How long should it take to get a work permit (on average) in BC for someone with general accounting/ admin experience (and relevant degree) once I have obtained a LMO?
2. If the employer wishes to hire me for a 2 yr period will I normally be granted a 2 yr work permit in this case as it would be professional work?
3. If I take the job and quit soon after I get my work permit is it true that this entitles me to stay in Canada as long as the work permit is valid?

(Ideally I would like to work there for less than 3 months and then look for other work)

Many thanks for any input :)

Job Offer........
As far as I know, if you get a job offer you must stay with that employer. It will have the employers name on the actual work visa you receive.

You are legally allowed stay past your current holiday work visa as long as you sent in the paperwork to CIC to be processed. However, you are not allowed work past your holiday work visa. Something else you should note is that you cannot leave Canada while your application is being processed. If you do leave, your application for a temporary worker visa will be canceled.

New requirements have been introduced recently. Make sure your (future) employer is aware of them.
