Strange call from Visa Office after visa issued!

if there is something like this they would have emailed you the notice . I guess someone is playing with you. track the number through tel directory or call visa office

I highly agree with ciscocccie on that as it was mentioned on email from VOs that all the correspondence will be done through e-mail.

You should e-mail your VO on immediate basis.

I sent them an email almost immediately. I replied to them using last email they had sent me. But I have not heard from them.

It really is fruatrating and also suspicious as they do not usually call people. I tried calling CIC but they said they have no access to my file as it is being processed in Paris.

Second that. Write to them asap and find out. Still stongly feel it could be a prank from someone who has ur info. Are u sure that number was from VO ?

It looks like a sick prank from one of embassy employees. Maybe trying to get back at people of middle east! Whatever it is, it is really unacceptable. Why did they issue the visa to play with my life?

I have received a reply, telling me that the call was legitimate and they have issued my Visa as a part of internal error. They have told me that not all their internal procedures were completed and they cannot tell me when they reach a new decision...

It is really inconsiderate and I really cant believe this level of amateurism...

Unbelievable! For sure it is connected to Charlie Hebdo incidents, but as it is not politically nor humanly ethical to say that, they opted for the "internal error" story. Shame on them!

I hope it will just delay your landing and that you will get good news when all the checks end.

Today I received a call from my visa office, asking me not to land in Canada until further notice. Does anybody else have the same experience? My visa was issued last month. I am so worried and confused... What do you think it is?

my friend who applied for student visa also had the same experience. Visa office was New Delhi.
But he received an email. But he landed in Canada before he received the email.
The reason for that email was, his medical reports that was sent from the hospital went missing or misplaced but they issued him visa. They wanted him to resubmit medical before landing.
HOPE in your case it would be something like that. All I would say is pray well and stay calm.
