That's an alarming concern I guess. What was the ECAS Status when u got Decision made? Was it In Process?

We always debate with others that when can we actually relax that we are immigrating for sure! Some would say PER, some would say MR and the most cynical would argue that once the visa has been stamped on your passport. After reading this tread, i guess i wouldn't even agree with the most cynical ones! We can't relax until we actually enter the country and get our SIN!

I second that thought.......even I have seen people who got PR card they were sent back and deported on various different issues......I have seen people who have citizenship and passport......they were revoked of that and sent back but very rare and once in a blue moon type thing..........so i guess atleast until unless we don't have our citizenships......we are living on edge and risk to these immigration laws and system.......atleast getting citizenship would secure our future somewhat.

I have ordered GCMS notes, but I don't think I will be getting them sooner than next month... Honestly, this is really stupid and irresponsible, it would be much better if I was waiting for passport request...

If you have visa in passports, then you have the right to go. If you are economically well, simply book the tickets and go there to activate the Visa. If not, send them the mail and check. Do not delay. Take a step and move forward.

Wrong, you might have a right to get on a plane and head for the country but you don't have a right to enter the country. A visa does not guarantee that one will be allowed to enter a country. Have you heard of people that have been turned away from the immigration checkpoints at the airport?

If his name has been flagged in their immigration system as someone who is still undergoing security/other checks and has not been cleared to use the visa (which CIC probably has done) then he will be returned back from the airport.

Today I received a new message from VO, telling me that my application is reopened and it might take a long time to do mandatory verifications....!

this is really frustrating indeed !!!

Fingers crossed for GCMS notes, I really really want to know why they reopened my case and what on earth has happened in 15 days!!!

Could you please elaborate in further details that what do you mean by re-opened?

That's all I know, they did not tell me any information about reopen meaning...
Just told me it had to be reopened!

Dear all

Today I have recieved an email from Paris VO office stating that my file has reached the final stage and asking wether I can enter canada before May 6th,2015 which is the end of my medicals that were done on May 2013 and extended on May 2014.

Of course I replied that I am ready which been the case for the last 4 years, however what is weird that one year ago paris VO office sent me an email saying that my file was transfered back to London VO and the medical extension was sent from LVO ,so really no one knows how these VO are working truly.
I am expecting the PPR any time now and just writing all this for those who are frustrated from the loooong wait

If anyone has similar situation plz share and let me know how much it took to get your passport stamped
