Still waiting on visa and slowly losing it

Okay, I applied for a multiple TRV after being granted 2 single entry visas before. That was 2 weeks ago and on the cic website the waiting time shows a 7 day waiting period for a TRV and on the South African (where I am) website it shows it will only take 3 days!

I haven't heard from them at all. I emailed them-they don't respond. What the hell is going on? I already had to postpone my flight because of that because my flight is in 2 days.

Has anyone gone through this before? Applied for multiple, how long did you have to wait?

Same here. I sent through application in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago exactly a month ago and still is waiting now. I sent email after the normal processing time of 14 days. The only response I got is that they will reply within one month --which I think is such a long period to reply.

I guess we have to wait further. In some of the posts I read in this forumn, I read that one is on its 6th week of waiting. And this is just a temporary visitors visa -- i thought it's quite a long period of processing.

Try emailing the embassy and put on your subject URGENT: ___ (REASON OF URGENCY). It will be my fourth attempt to email them, but my first time with that kind of heading. We'll see if we can get a resonse.

Anyway, let me know if there is any progress on your part.

Hey! They finally replied to me on Thursday! They emailed me saying its been processed and they gave me a case number to present to the consulate office in Pretoria, South Africa when I collect my passport. They also phoned me on Friday to tell me the same. So I wrote a letter with my name, date of birth and that case number, authorizing the couriers to collect it for me. They collected it today-so I'm waiting about 2 days until I receive it. I would say be patient I emailed them 3 times though. I emailed them telling that I had to postpone my flight because of me still having been waiting for my visa. They then finally replied. I think they saw that on my itinerary that I wasn't lying. Kinda crazy that they only finalized it a day before my flight lol But yes, goodluck to you and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Please reply when you have any updates.

If he submitted just recently, it will take approximately 5-6 weeks for the processing. They won't be replying to emails within that period unless probably you indicate in your email the urgency and explain it.

As for the documents, it is found on the canadian embassy website. Apart from the forms, I only submitted my bank statements and employment certificate/payslips as supporting dos.

Great news! glad to hear you're getting yours soon! One should really just be honest with them and have patience! It really depends on them really, they don't have much time to work on one case so they have to do it quickly and they have a lot of other applications to go through and the thing is, they only have a few hours(probably 3) a day to work on temporary cases. Good news is I received a multiple entry today valid for 5 years! :) Goodluck to everyone!
