I've already contacted my MP, they sent them an email and all they got was a similar response as me, it said:
Their application is currently under review with an IO.
A month ago, but it's good you should email your MP but sadly they can't help much, they much just get you a more detailed response.
Mrs. Proper, I called the CIC today and they said that apparently there have been budget cuts so it's taking longer for certain people, espically if they reviewed your file and you had to send them extra info.
In my case we sent them extra supporting documentation for common-law status and the lady over the phone thinks that their waiting a certain ammount of time before they review it again. She told me not to worry and that someone will get to my file, but she also reminded me that i'm one person in 1000 who's probably also waiting to be reviewed.
