Still received by visa office -- pls advise

Hi

I am on a post graduate work permit visa in Toronto ...
I have file for FSW PR .. my docs reached ND CHC on 2nd Feb 2010 and the status still shows Received by visa office ..Its almost been 2.5 months since they have received the file... I hv also send case specific inquiry 4 days back ...Seniors pls advise .. wat wud the reason be....

Also i want to know if i get a medical call -- do i hv to go back to India or i can do it from within Canada..also can i send my passport to ND for stamping ...or i hv to go there n do it

1. The processing will take 6-12 months, so they won't reply to your enquiry.
2. You can do the medical at any DMP in the world, but the results should be sent to the RMC in Delhi.
3. It is illegal to mail/courier passports in/out of India, so you or someone will have to hand carry with authorization to Delhi and then return them.

Thx as ever for the prompt reply .....

Well its been 2.5 months and as per the 2 AOR received after sending the documents they have explicity mentioned that I will receive some sort of correspondence from them in 3 months from the date they hv received the documents.If i dont they have written to contact them

I m suprised as to Y my file has not been taken into processing ...bcos all the members file gets into processing after 3-4 weeks of AOR

Also PMM a small question do u think i can still send the passport along with some one and get it stamped .. n then leave Canada borders thru Buffalo ...But i have a small problem here ..My wife is in India and i hv filed her application along with me.

So does it mean she cant enter Canada before my passport comes back and reenter canada thru US borders..

Once again PMM ur help in this matter will be highly appreciated..
