I had a hearing on a rejection may May. I still haven't heard a word about our reprocessing. Anyone out there in a similar situation?

I have a question: if the appeal is allowed, does that basically mean the visa is a guarantee??

Thanks,
FS

Probability is high for the visa issuance. However if a VO finds some other reason to reject, the negative is possible. My case has been exhausted and dragged through the mud. I doubt another rejection is going to happen.

Yeah, you would think that if the appeal has been allowed, the judge is basically telling the visa officer his/her reasons for rejection were not good enough...you should definitely get the visa and it should be done very quickly!

Good luck and hope you get things sorted quickly!

Yes, possible but usually very unlikely. Same grounds cannot be used for refusal. Must be a new "legal" (under IRPA) reason for refusal.

Contact you MP they can get you status

My MPs office is trying to get info. Still no word. I know our file number has changed because ecas doesn't work for me anymore but I don't know what the new number is. I sent a case specific inquiry but I haven't heard back.

Accara sure is taking their sweet time on your case. If you timeline is correct from 2009?-Whao
Stay strong the battle is almost over!

Hello! I also had to appeal a refusal.

My hearing was on January 9, and they told me on the spot that they would overturn CIC Mexico's decision.

CIC contacted me again on April 29 to ask for extra documents. They gave me a new file number as well.

Remember that the judge has to send a document to your local CIC office explaining his reasons to overturn the decision, this might take a bit.

You should probably hear something this month :)

I also knew of the approval the day of the hearing. Thanks for your timeline. If mine is like yours, this would be the month!
