Ok so you’re basically saying that I can’t flagpole and my only option is to wait for an appintment, however long that takes?

You can respond to the interview request or raise a case specific inquiry to get it changed to PPR (outland processing). It might work.

Thanks for all your help, I actually received an interview date yesterday for next Monday, so all good! I had heard that people waited months and months so I just wanted to know whether there was an alternative, but I didn't need it in the end!

Thank you. So, basically you get PPR email and after some time an interview date, no sending passport, picture etc? No waiting for CoPR?
So I got PPR email exactly 4 weeks ago on Oct 19, 2018 and received an interview date yesterday Nov 19, 2018 for Nov 26, 2018. Because my application was 'inland' I will not receive a CoPR and I will not need to send in my passport because the only way to get PR is to attend a landing interview at a local immigration office - in my case the Vancouver one on Hornby St, downtown. Hope that helps!
