Hi. My sister and I are looking into sponsoring our mom (UK citizen, previous Canadian PR) and our step-dad. I can't find anything that says step-parents can be sponsored, it just says 'parent'. I'm assuming that we can but can we sponsor him??

You can sponsor your mom, and then your stepdad will be included in the application as her spouse.
You can't directly sponsor a stepparent without also sponsoring your 'real' parent, according to appeals I've seen, but in your case you should be fine.

Thanks guys, I assumed that was the case but couldn't find the actual words anywhere to confirm it....guess I'm starting the form filling nightmare again!!!
