They changed it late last year or early this year, can't remember exactly.

If you have an ITA that will expire before you receive the PCC, I would suggest applying for the PCC from Australia ASAP, and in lieu of uploading the PCC, write a letter of explanation and include copies of your application for the Australia PCCs, and indicate that you will forward them ASAP. Note that Australia processes those pretty quickly.

Also note that if you stayed in Queensland or Victoria, you will also need a traffic history report (or proof that you never held a driver's license there)

Thank you! Have applied for PCC and evidence that we never held drviers' licence there, and will mention this in LOE.

Technically, no. But make sure you state clearly in your loe you were there less than 180 days.

This statement describes old rules. "in a row" = consecutive, is no longer true.

New rules are cumulative:

"if you visited, worked or lived in a country for two months, left for a few years, then returned for four months, that counts as spending six months there. In this case, you would need a certificate."

Hello Please where did you see cumulative.
I just read the link you sent. it states 6 months in a row, so please clarify.

Police certificates

To immigrate to Canada, you and any family members who are 18 years old or older must include your police certificates as part of the application for permanent residence. You need one for every country, other than Canada, where you stayed for more than 6 months in a row in the last 10 years since you were 18 years old.

If you need one from the country where you currently live, it must have been issued within the last 6 months.

If you need one from a country where you lived in the past, it must have been issued after you last lived in that country. If it has an expiry date and is now expired, include it. We will let you know if you need a new one.

If you have a criminal record, you may not be allowed to enter or stay in Canada. People who pose a risk to Canada’s security are also not allowed to come to Canada.

Police certificates must be scanned copies of the original certificate(s) in colour. Certified true copies or unauthorized copies will not be accepted and will result in your application being rejected.

Cumulative used to be requirement, that's not the case anymore.
