Hi, You say that UCI is issued until SPONSORSHIP APPROVAL??? Are you sure about this??

We just sent our application in january and my husband(the Sponsor) got e-mail with UCI sometime in April....I am out of status and Ive heard they may process out of ststus faster....But does getting UCI mean he is Approved as a sponsor?

With outland apps, many don't get AOR, so the first time they see their UCI is in the sponsor approval email/letter.

Inland is different. Your husband has not yet been approved as a sponsor. AOR simply means that they've opened the application. Provided the processing times stay the same, you should expect AIP sometime in October.

BUT...in your case, since you are out of status and have already had dealings with CBSA, they may very well request CIC to expedite the processing to reach AIP within 60 days (as they seem to do for some applicants that are out of status).

yeah I've read that somewhere too...well, we'll see what happens...I dont hope for much....my prra decision should be coming in soon...next 2-3mths...I'm pretty sure its gonna be a big fat "NO"...so I'm ready for the worst...if anything better happens it will be a huge Bonus

hi violetblue may i ask why u have a removal order? Is it because u overstayed ur visa? When is it? before or after submitting an inland application? And how long have u overstayed it?

Well I overstayed my TWP by quite a long time...7 years...so then after filing taxes w hubby and traveling by plane to Toronto CBSA realized I was out of status and came to my door...my life WORST nightmare came true that moment when I opened my front door and 2 officers were standing there **Gulp!*

Anyways, they weren't rude or anything...just asked Q's...and long story short...they gave me a date for removal interview which we did by phone...I sent my application Before that date...and then they issued me exclusion order during the interview....then I applied for prra to buy some time as I was 6mths pregnant at the time...so that's it....now waiting to hear from them....

i see. I hope it works out all good for you. Does cbsa issue removal orders for inland applicants that is out of status?

Well apparently they do...but also looks like its up to their discretion If they will decide to go on with the removal or allow u to stay until application is processed...so fingers crossed
