Hello everyone, so I have a question about the declaration of your total cash to the immigration officer at the port of entry. Since in the cic website, its stated that you have to tell the officer the total amount of cash that you'll be bringing with you to canada otherwise a fine or confiscation would be issued to you if you fail to do so. I'm actually planning to carry an additional 3k cad with me which will stay in my wallet. Also I already have 10k cad in my scotiabank account. So Do I still have to tell the immigration officer about the 3k in my wallet? Thanks

I believe you need to declare if you have 10k Cash. 3K cash not really. Maybe an expert will give you the right feedback. I remember coming to USA and it is the same, 10K and I had 5k cash I did not declare it.
