I'm a UK citizen - over here in Canada with my wife just visiting while PR is in being processed

Anyway been in Canada for a month we just went to Bellingham to do some shopping on our way back into Canada - the boarder officer asked my status my wife said I was just visiting and we have started PR

He said let me check - he did something on his machine 5 minutes later said all looks good then stamped my passport with todays date - the same type of stamp I get at a airport

Has that reset my visitor entry giving me anoth full 6 months ?

Nothing was written under the stamp looks like the same entry stamp I get arriving at the airport...

Is this an outland application?
Because with an inland one, you are not supposed to leave.
Sounds like it was reset, otherwise the stamp would have had an expire date on it.

Yes - every time you leave Canada and re-enter, it resets the clock. So you have 6 months from when it was stamped, if the officer hasn't written anything next to stamp.
Hopefully your PR will be done by then.
Good luck,
