I wonder why the Canadian government is giving pink slips to Immigration employees and putting more burden on existing workers.

Last month, the processing time was 55 days. Then it moved to 75 days and now it is 84 days according to the link mentioned above.

Do you think it could go as high as 120 or may be 365?
Is this fair legally? They cant delay processing for so long? Is there anything we can do about this?

I just checked. It's still 75... Where does it say 84?

Parker 24 its 84 days now. Maybe they searched for easter eggs in the file storage and stacks of documents fell over and it took them 9 days to sort them out. :P

That's the thing. I clicked the link, still says 75?

haha about the eggs, sheesh I can just picture the towering applications!

84 days. Wonderful.

And then there is no guarantee that they will finish within that time.

All these timelines are estimates.

Still, I have faith in CIC...

As you can see processing times is increasing exponentially, by the time they get to March it will be years. They even have to go backward. They might revoke some of the approved ones. It is all possible who know what else?

is that for inland, outland or both?

i wonder what's wrong.... how about us who have just sent our application?? will it take years? how about the medicals done??? its only valid for 1 year... CIC. please don't let my husband redo his medical for this reason!

It's not going to take "years"!! Come on folks, at least start with "months"!!!

Anyways, I highly doubt it would get that bad...I don't like having to wait so long, and I don't like that it's now at 84 days, but I cannot believe it would go to a year for stage 1 approval!

i totally agree... can't wait that long either

CIC reminds me of some secret society. They like to keep everything close to their chest. We pay them money and for what? A visa that takes months or years? Why? There is no reason for this kind of delay. It's totally against their stated policies!!!

I feel bad for all those who are separated from their loved ones!! Hang in there!!
