I have not recieved mine and going out of H1B status as well (waited too long). Any of you guys know if the nomination is still feasible if one goes of H1B status after 4 months of waiting?

If you applied before Feb 19, you do not need to maintain your H1-B status after the submission of your application. If you applied after Feb 19, you must maintain H1-B status until nomination (If this is your case, you may want to contact a immigration lawyer).

HI all,

Good day!! looks like march applicant had hopes again. Most of the file numbers kick in this month. As you can see, although april applicant received first there file numbers than march but take a look at there file numbers there four digits ending is 39xx while march is 23xx. meaning AINP is processing in first come first serve basis. Just my thought.

I am alive again..

Application Sent: 13th March 2009.

File # Received Date : 6th August 2009.

Hi Guys -
Good news :)

I got my file number # today. I applied under NOC # 2173 ( Software Engineers & Designers )

Applied for AINP on March 24,2009

Application reached AINP on March 25,2009

File number received
# August 7,2009

File number # 7913-xx-xxxx

I am guessing it will take another 5-6 months tops for nomination. Looks like AINP is keeping up their 4 month timelines in issuing file number. So dont lose hope !

Good luck

Congrats, rxv2562.

Could you post LAST 4 digits of your file number, not the FIRST 4 digits. Last 4 digits can tell us how AINP process is moving (First 4 digits don't tell us anything because everyone receives the same).

Thank you.
