Dear Friend,

The applications on hand (whether under process or not) will always be processed on the basis of MI in place at the time of filing the application. Subsequent changes will not affect, applications already in hand.

you are right. Lots of people are in process with processing dates and none received MR. hoping to release MR soon in April/May.

What I strongly believe is that they checked for points and qualified applications and released the quota for this year and the remaining which had even minor issues were rejected so that they can process the applications in a speedy manner. This is what I understand from our CAPIS report.

Hi guys...
Interesting info.from Canada.
OTTAWA — Canada’s economy churned out a surprisingly robust 82,300 jobs in March, the biggest jump in more than three years, knocking the unemployment rate down to 7.2% for the first time since September 2011.The jump in employment last month was the biggest since September 2008, led by full-time and private-sector hiring. That followed a loss of 2,800 positions in February, which had pushed the jobless rate to 7.4%.

Statistics Canada said Thursday the employment gains spanned several sectors, including health care and social assistance, as well as information, culture and recreation, and public administration. Job growth the manufacturing sector also edged up.

“This is a very positive print that was entirely unexpected by anyone in the consensus guessing game that must deal with a paucity of leading indicators,” said Scotia Capital economist Derek Holt. “The details are uniformly positive.”Economists had expected about 10,500 jobs to be added in March, and the jobless rate to remain flat.

“The Canadian job market shook off its winter blues with authority in March, likely aided by the incredibly mild weather,” said Douglas Porter, deputy chief economist at BMO Capital Markets. “With the fourth largest monthly job gain in the past 20 years, this could change the tone of the debate on the Bank of Canada, especially with the bank sounding a bit more hawkish recently.”

Many analysts expect the central bank to keep its key interest rate at a near-record low of one per cent until next year.

“The bank won’t be going anywhere soon if the European debt crisis heats up again in a meaningful fashion,” Mr. Porter said. “Nevertheless, this is a very encouraging report that clearly shows the domestic economy still has some underlying momentum — much needed, in a time of government restraint.”

There were 70,000 full-time jobs created in March, while another 12,400 part-time positions were added. The majority of those new jobs, 42,600, were in the private sector. The public sector gained 20,900 positions.

Jobs were added in Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba, while New Brunswick and Nova Scotia lost positions.

“With private sector employment creation starting to put together a string of healthy positive numbers, we see that the economic growth baton is indeed being shifted from the public sector to the private sector,” said Sonya Gulati, at TD Economist. “This shift bodes well for job report cards in the months to come when the federal government begins its civil servant reduction efforts and other governments like Ontario begin to impose wage freezes for public sector employees.”

In last week’s federal budget, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said private sector economists are forecasting economic growth of 2.1% this year and 2.4% in 2013, little changed from the outlook in the Finance Department’s November update.

The Bank of Canada’s most recent outlook for 2012 is for two per cent expansion, followed by 2.8% in 2013.

“While we were pleasantly surprised with today’s job numbers, the pace of economic growth expected over 2012 is consistent with average monthly job gains hovering at around the 10,000-20,000 mark, with the second half of the year realizing the higher part of this range,” said TD’s Gulati. “With this gradual pace of hiring, the unemployment rate should not deviate too far from its current levels.”

Scotia Capital’s Holt cautioned, however, not to read too much into Thursday’s employment numbers. “There are multiple forces being traded off here, so resist the urge to extrapolate. In fact, one very good report is not yet enough to reverse the flattening trend in Canadian jobs.”

I agree with your evaluations.

I feel we may receive our medicals in May/June.
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/offices-bureaux/2012-delhi-employment-363-emploi.aspx?lang=en&view=d
The last date of submitted CV for program assitant opening in Immigration was 3rd April. Than there is a written exam and interview. It will take min 15 days for CHC ND to hire and than maybe a week of training etc.
If the said assistant is for Pre June cases(as per other forum members speculations) than this person will be working on our cases only in May.

In the meantime we can prepare for the next stage.
I wanna know the procedure to send the RPRF.
I know that we need to send a demand draft. Should it be in Canadian dollar(490$) or Indian Rupees(24010 Rs) ?

I also need info regarding DMP?
Which DMP is good in Ahmedabad or Mumbai? I wish to avoid remedicals.

I know it seems a bit early, but getting information before hand will help me in doing things faster.

Calgary, April 10, 2012 — To fill Canada’s growing labour shortages in construction, natural resources and similar industries, Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney announced plans today to make it easier for skilled tradespersons to immigrate to Canada.

The announcement is the latest in a series Minister Kenney has made about transforming Canada's immigration system into a fast and flexible system focused on jobs, growth and prosperity.

“Our Government recognizes that our country faces a critical shortage in certain skilled trades,” said Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney. “That’s why we are taking concrete steps to address this problem at a national level.”

Under the modernized Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) to be unveiled later this year, CIC intends to create a separate and streamlined program for skilled tradespersons. Skilled trades include occupations in construction, transportation, manufacturing and service industries. Skilled tradespersons are in high demand in Canada particularly in the natural resources and construction sectors.

Currently, FSW applicants are assessed against a 100-point grid, with a pass mark of 67. The grid takes into account the candidate’s official language ability, education, work experience, age, whether they have a job offer in Canada (arranged employment), and their overall adaptability (which awards points for things like previous work or study in Canada, spouse’s education and relatives in Canada).

Some criteria in the FSW grid, such as years of education, have traditionally favoured professionals and managers more than skilled trades, and thus skilled tradespersons only make up 3 percent of all FSWs entering Canada. During CIC’s consultations on FSWP modernization over the past year, stakeholders also agreed that changes were necessary to make the program more accessible to tradespersons.

The proposed FSWP Skilled Trades program would create a means for skilled tradespersons to be assessed based on criteria geared towards their reality, putting more emphasis on practical training and work experience rather than formal education. The new skilled trades stream would avoid some of the complexities of the traditional points grid. Skilled trades applicants will, however, need to meet minimum language requirements, given the importance of language as a determinant of immigrant success.

“Above all, our Government remains focused on promoting economic growth and long-term prosperity,” said Minister Kenney. “Attracting skilled tradespeople is important for maintaining Canada’s momentum in the global economy.”

If approved, further details about the Skilled Trades program and the revised FSWP are expected to be announced later in 2012. The full regulatory changes to the FSWP will also be published in the Canada Gazette in due course.
