Hello Everyone,
I had submitted my spouse Permanet Resident profile through an agent 3 months ago and It got rejected with reason IMM5406 not included/missing, he is saying they had call CIC and it's a technical error from their end.

After visiting my consultant personally, he told me also I can apply for visitor and open work permit application, and when my spouse come here, we can apply for inland Spouse application, Or I can reapply the whole file Spouse Sponsorship file with new portal. Feedback what Im getting is usually visitor visa gets rejected.

Your valuable feedbacks are needed, which way we should go ahead with? We are really confused.

apply outland asap+like you did before) at the same rime apply for visitor visa. Unfortunately this way you will not be able to get owp. Would need to wait till after granted PR to work.

(getting rejected as a visitor will not effect your application in this case)

I guess when u apply for Inland application you get Spouse work permit in 2 weeks for a year and you can renew it

Not in 2 weeks. More like 6-8 months after you submit the application.

BTW - It's highly unlikely there was an error on IRCC's end. Almost certainly your consultant screwed up by submitting an incomplete application and is covering this screw up by blaming IRCC.

Apply on your own next time. Ditch the useless consultant who has already delayed the process for you.

I guess when u apply for Inland application you get Spouse work permit in 2 weeks for a year and you can renew it

Also if I apply for visitor Visa

What are the chances that I will get the visitor Visa, I have no other option to go with him as I have paid him, anyways I will be applyin through new portal, so I can review it as well, And we will make sure of attention to detail

The consultant is misleading you, why wasting money on them....Come to the forum and we will show you what to do and where to start from...When it was rejected, you find the document that was not included, you include it and start going....Use your mind, do the sponsorship and forget about the visitors visa for now

These aren't ties.

To be ties, it would need to be her own assets or proof of funds.

Oh okay. No, she is not attending school. She doesn’t have a job right now. She has enough balance in her bank account and I can show my funds as I am working and have enough funds as well? Will that be enough? I have also applied for her outland spouse sponsorship and trying to get visitor visa which IRCC call ‘duel intent’.

Normally the chances are around 50/50 but they may be lower in your case since she lacks employment. However by all means try applying and hope you get lucky.

I will start my spousal sponsorship with dependent soon. I’m still a permanent residence.

Should we submit our application in Mississauga or the country (Manila) where my wife and our daughter will be coming from?

It’s been a long time since I did my immigration process. Correct me if i’m wrong, is there an online application now? Or is it still paper based?

I’m still confused right now, if anyone can point me on the right direction aside from kaibigan..

I also submitted a PR application for my spouse few weeks ago and after looking at your post, I think I miss to upload one IMM5406 for myself, the sponsor. Though I have uploaded the one for my spouse.

Anyone here know, if my application would be rejected because I did not upload one IMM5406???
