I am an Indian, my husband is a Canada PR. We were gonna start our spousal application but it's on hold cause my husband lost his regular job and currently he's been doing freelance work. And there's an employer who's ready to offer me a job. I have the below questions,

1. Is a regular job mandatory for my husband.
2. Can I show my job offer as a financial support for living once I move to Canada, without my husband's help.
3. Is LMIA mandatory for my job offer.

1. No, it's not. In his sponsorship application, he just needs to show some sort of a plan to meet expenses.

2. You can include it, but the plan needs to be bigger. Your husband is signing a legally binding promise to cover your costs - not the other way around, though they do look at family financial capacity from a family perspective.

3. If you are not a Canadian or PR and are looking to take up work in Canada, it must be either supported by an LMIA or be somehow LMIA-exempt. How do you think it would not require an LMIA?

Thank you so much for making it clear. So in this case how much funds should we show in his account. Is there any specific number or?
