spouse visa after Passport Request for PR

Hi

I am from india. I recently got married came back from india. After I came to canada I got passport request for my PR. On that email cic mentioned that if you had any recent change in my family composition, I have to update that first.

Now, I am thinking to add my wife's name on my PR file so When I get my PR at the same time my wife also get her PR as well.

Is it possible that we can get the PR at the same time? how long does it take to do these process? Can I finish her medical up-front so I dont have to wait longer?

You most definitely have to inform CIC that you are now married and add your wife to your application.

If you do not you will never be able to sponsor her to come to Canada and if CIC were to find out you are not being truthful they could deny your PR application for not being truthful.

If you add her to her file NOW before submitting your passport for the request you received, then yes it is possible for you both to receive PR at the same time. That being said it will take time, I cannot comment how much extra time it will take. Maybe someone who has already gone through this scenario can advise you of that.

I have already updated to CIC about my changed status.

Now, to submit her file and save some time can I do up front medical and submit the file?

Or do I have to wait for the letter and response for medical request from CIC which I have to attach and take appoint and then submit her medical!
