Hi,

I am a canadian resident (from Quebec). My husband is Australian. He is on a visa and work in Manitoba. We are currently long-distance and are going to apply for the sponsorship in order for him to get his Permanent residency.

Do I have to do all the forms from Quebec immigration IF my husband is not planning on living or working in Quebec? Can we just do the forms from the federal immigration?

I'm not sure if you can skip the Quebec forms. Hopefully someone else will be able to comment.

Note that you must apply outland since you aren't living together. Inland is not an option.

Unless you can show definitive proof that you will not be residing in Quebec after PR is granted, you will have to do the Quebec process as well.
