Hello,

I am a Canadian passport holder and my wife is in Karachi. Hence, I am sponsoring her and I have some questions while filling the form and requiring the backup.

1. What should be mentioned in marriage affidavit ?
2. Should the copy of the Nikkah nama be notarized ?
3. Should medical be done when filling or medical can be done later ? Does it delay the process etc ? Please advise

Hi there,
First of all, why do you need a marriage affidavit?,
Second if I am not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong) a Nikkah Nama is an Islam marriage certficate?
Copies of documents submitted in the sponsorship process don't need to be notarized unless specifically specified in the document checklist that is has to be. (Based from my experience everything I submitted was just photocopy)
Also unless specified that is has to be an original.

Third, Some people Include the medical examination with their application, but you have to remember that it is only valid for a certain amount of time. Your application may not be processed before it expires, so if it does, or if the officer examining your application is not satisfied with the validity of the medicals they may ask you to get a new one. Although based from what I have been reading, getting medicals done with the application shaves off about a month or 2 from the processing time, that is if they get to it on time.
That is also why a lot of people prefer to wait for the go signal of the CIC to go ahead and get the medicals!

u have to do medical done beore sending application,,,
i am not sure about nikkah nama coz i have marriage certificate from USA ,,post ur question in pakistani thread people will guide u over there
