My friend is about to submit spouse sponsorship application. He is currently self-employed (UBER). What document can he show as a Employment/Source of Income ? Check list says we need to upload supporting documents if self-employed but not sure what it could be. Can he attach screenshots of weekly Uber income deposits?

Hi,
IAM single mother living in Canada,I want to sponsor my husband to come Canada, but IAM not working now,I hear that I can just show ircc that I have enough money to support my husband when he come to Canada ,is that true!
Thanks
When my sister sponsored her spouse she was a fulltime student with no income and on student loan. And sponsorship was approve.
As long as you the sponsor are not currently on social assistance you are okay.

l that isn’t actually correct. The family may have provided other evidence.

You should be paying taxes on your self-employed income so you would have NOA.

- Screen shots of the weekly deposits.
- CRA NOA
- Bank statement showing deposits

Thanks for the reply. He attached Bank statement and CRA NOA and being on extra safer side he attached a letter of explanation too saying he is self employed.

That sounds fine.

Technically yes. My husband was unemployed (a graduate student) when we applied, but he was applying for jobs and showed proof of his job searches, that he was in school, and our savings. You will likely need to show something similar - i.e. that you can support your husband for 3 years, even if he doesn't get a job in Canada.
How did he show proof of job searches?
