This is after the sponsorship application gets approved.
Once it gets transferred to CPP-O you will receive an email from

That is usually 2-3 months after your application is received by CPC-Mississauga.
When did you send your file to Mississauga? Was the sponsorship application approved or not yet?

When you received an email from CPP-Ottawa, did they mention how long it takes to process the application?
In my case they said 12 months from the time the application was received, which is Oct 27, 2011.

Hi there. I am applying outland via London and submitted the papers to Mississauga. Mississauga notified us on 21 Feb 2012 to say they had recieved our paperwork on 23 December 2012. We then didnt hear anything until today, which was from Ottawa, to say the sponsorship had been approved and the paperwork had been forwarded to London. Ottawa didn't give any indication as to how long it would take to process.

I see, it looks to me that your file is not being processed in CPP-Ottawa. It is already transferred to London. And that makes sense because, to the best of my knowledge, applicantd living in Cairo, Islamabad, and Port-au-Prince only are processed in CPP-Ottawa so far.

Does it make any sense to you?

I got approval letter from cpc-M on feb 2 2012 saying that my application will be sent to Singapore visa office. Out of curiosity, i sent an email early april to singapore to see if they gt my file. They replied bak to me yesterday saying that they do not have my file. Then i called the call center and the agent told me tht cpp ottawa has it.

My question is, is it normal tht cpp ottawa has my file instead of singapore and also the fact tht they did nt notify/inform me ? im just worried/confused and i hope they did not make any mistake

I think it is normal to have your file transferred to CPP-O. What is not normal is that you were not notified.

I do not think they made a mistake. There is a trend to decrease the processing outside canada and increase the number off applications that are processed in Canada. And this is one of the purposes of the Pilot project. So, you should be ok.
Can you post your timeline?

Actually wt is weird is that i called twice the call center, the first time the agent said my file is in cpp Ottawa and second time, another agent said she doesnt know where it is. Now im really confuse and donno how reliable the call center is and i donno how to gt some accurate and correct answer :S i have sent an email to mississauga explaining my situation. I hope they will reply bak soon enough. i just dont know wt to do

If I hear u correctly, now you are saying that you do not know whether your file is sent to Ottawa or Singapore, is that correct?

Actually it is suppose to be in Singapore ( thts wat i thought). Beginning of April, i sent an email to Singapore to know whether they received my application or not and a few days ago, they replied bak

"Dear ___________,

Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

All applications to sponsor relatives for permanent residence in Canada are initiated by the sponsor, who submits an undertaking of support to the Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Mississauga. Once CPC Mississauga approves the sponsorship, both our office and the sponsor are notified. In sponsored spouse and child cases, the applicant’s application and supporting documents are forwarded by CPC Mississauga to the visa office for priority processing.

Our records show that, in this case, we have received notification from CPC Mississauga that the sponsorship has been approved, but we have not yet received the application kit, including all the necessary forms and supporting documents.

**Then i called the call center. The first time, the agent said its in cpp-O. The second time when i called , the agent said she doesnt knw where it is.

Now i dont knw where it is or where its suppose to be ( i just hope its not lost or misplaced). im just confused and worried and i dont knw how much i should trust the call center because each time, they say something different.:S

By any chance, do u know any way through which i can try to locate my file?
