Hi, I'm sponsoring my spouse from Bosnia...I am currently in Canada and I'm gathering together proof of our relationship.
I have tons of photographs, my only problem is that most of my proof of communication is facebook messages.
Do I need to print everything? There's literally over 50,000 messages and surely I can't print all of that..What should I do? ???
If I print only some conversations, what kind of stuff should I print? Are they actually going to be reading this or just looking at the dates?

Thanks in advance!

your facebook proof is not enough to satisfy CHC you better add other proof of relation like viber call and messages, greeting cards, skype, telephone bills, E-mails, chat, money transfer slips etc, CHC wanna see your on going relationship and you can print your chat conversation from facebook and other proof of relationship, yes they read all your messages and emails etc

Print a selection of the messages. Some people take one chat from every week of their relationship, or every month. Others just choose ones that seem important somehow. Then state that you have 50,000 or so more messages and can provide them if the visa officer wants to see them.

I agree that you should also try to get other evidence. A variety of different types is better than a lot of just one or two types of evidence. You can at least get letters or affidavits from family and friends stating they believe your relationship is genuine and why.

I have phone bills, Viber calls, Skype calls, etc..
I have photographs of us together, with our families, with our friends..
Some of our family members are willing to write letters as well.

I hope this is all enough, I'm not really sure how to 'prove' my relationship because we spent most of our time together so my best proof is pictures really...

Thanks for your help :)

What you've mentioned should be enough. Proof of any travel together, or travel to visit each other, is also good.
You'll only need a lot more if the applicant comes from a 'difficult' country and/or your relationship has a lot of red flags.
For example, a couple with different religions, races, ethnic backgrounds, marital history, languages, and where the wife is 20 years older than her husband will need more proof than the average couple; likewise, an applicant from most African countries or the Caribbean will need more proof than someone from Australia or France.

I have the same problem as you do. Officially, I know all non-English documents should be translated with certified copies. But I am not really willing to do so to protect my own privacy. I don't want our sweet chat to be viewed by all the professionals, lawyers, etc... More importantly, we have too many records, the certified copy and translation may take too much money.

I am thinking of just submitting the document in its original language, since I don't want them to really read them anyway.

But if some one has some experience or advice to share, please do! I will really appreciate that.

When my partner and I submitted our application, we included nearly 100 pages of chat from Facebook and Text Message. The entirety of our message history would have been in the 1,000's of pages. I selected messages primarily at random. It does feel a bit strange to disclose our shopping habits and dinner suggestions to people we don't know... and yet, it's those back and forth conversations about what to have for dinner that proves your relationship. Translation: do your best with what you have and don't worry. The objective is to prove that your relationship is genuine, not that it uses various messaging services/programs. :)
