Spouse Sponsorship Confusion

Hi

I am a UK citizen who is currently living in the UK with their Canadian Wife. We want to move back to Canada under this family sponsorship visa but getting confused by how it works

Firstly is the INLAND or OUTLAND application, from what i understand this has to do where the application is processed rather than where I or my wife is when applying, is this correct?

Due to personal circumstances, we would like our plan to be that my wife would go home to be with her family now while i would stay here in the UK and keep working to save some money and then come over to her. Would her going home and then applying effect whether its an INLAND or OUTLAND application?

If she went home and then we started the OUTLAND application but there are interviews needed (and this next part might seem like a silly question) these interviews would take place at whatever visa office we are using (since im in the UK, i guess it would be London).
Would it be me that would be interviewed or my Wife that would be interviewed, or both!?, Because since you have to give in your passport with the application then she would not be able to come over.

Also on the financial side of it, since my Wife wants to go home she would not have a job once she gets home, the financial requirements side of the sponsor seem a bit confusing, from what i think i understand about it, she only needs to adhere to financial requirements when it is just me, that the requirements would only come in if say, i had a dependent child (i don't). Is this correct?

To apply inland, both of you must be residing in Canada. If you do not plan to do that, then apply outland.

IF you apply outland, then you would go through London, so if there was an interview, it would be in London. They only interview the applicant (you), not the sponsor. You do not need to send your passport, and your wife does not need to send her passport, just copies.

There is no minimum income, but she needs to show how she plans on supporting you (and herself). If she has support from family, include letters to that effect, if you are employable, include documents to that effect. They just want to make sure that you will not go on welfare.

Well thats good to know, our biggest fear was that my wife would not be able to get home and would have to do the application all from here because if she did go home then the financial requirements side would stop her being a sponsor she would be moving back with her parents until i could come over, she would be looking for a job there and i have a good job and a good educational background here (Software developer with a Degree) so i hope i would be employable! I would also have a decent amount saved before i would be coming over (I would be hoping in round the 10K mark or more just to get us started) so i would be hoping that would be enough to show that we would not be going on welfare (And at the start we could both be living in her parental house if needs be just until we get settled)

Yes, any foreign citizen requires a "visa" (PR) to live in Canada. Some nationalities can visit for up to 6 months, without applying for a visa, but they cannot live in Canada.
