Hi All,

I have been reading out all the comments lately and is it really true that all the applications now for Dubai residents who are pakistani nationals will be sent to LVO

I am just too scared abt it. :-[

Dont be scared if your case is straight forward without any red flag, you will get your visa in a year, processing through LVO.

A few months ago.. Will again soon..

Salam Brother - How are things going with you ? Noticed that ADVO has gone up to 19 months ! Most likely due to high back logs, but do remember that is a worst case situation and from what I know VO's always like to cover their actions and play safe so if anyone tries to raise a finger at them, they can easily say " 19 Months "

Application processing within Canada is also very slow at this point in time. Takes about 5 months just to get a proof of citizenship for my kid . Insha'Allah hope all is well with you .

Hello Everyone,

Hang in there - before you know it this will all be over and done with. I understand the mental frustration and exhaustion one has to go through especially our wives - its tough times indeed. Remember with hardship, comes ease and Insha'Allah all will be well.

Dont forget to apply for the notes to see exactly what is on your file as per the immigration officer and also reach out to your local MP's and make a case. These immigration laws and processing times needs to change as it deeply effects a human beings well-being.

I received my SA letter a month ago...and haven't received any updates as to whether my application actually reached Amman....should I wait before ordering GCMS notes?

I applied for proof of citizenship for my son at the Canadian consulate in Dubai on January 2014, till today i havent received it yet, whenever I enquire about it, they say that it's still in process in Canada and they dont have control over it

Salaam brother good to hear from you. Thanks for the encouraging words. Lack of transperacy in this whole process is very frustrating if not the most frustrating part. According to them(SA email), my file has been transferred to ADVO 4 months ago, no word since then. Even if they tell us, yes we got your file, and now we are doing this.. So simple, so easy, and most definetly can be automated, but.. On a more positive side I'm planning a trip for next month to see my wife for 2 weeks.. Also, ordered notes this morning... Take care brother..

Hello chilkootcee,
It's not an unusual thing to not hear from the VO, some VOs are notorous for that! I got my SA approval over 4 months and have not heard from the VO yet. Good luck.

Thank you all for your very encouraging words...I wish insha'Allah that your applications are processed quickly. Pray for those working in the Amman office to give them the strength to deal with so many applications.

Dear All,

My ecas was updated today with a third line saying " We started processing xxx application on May 13, 2015." and the status was updated to "In Process" on 9th August.

So in all, my ecase shows the below:

1. We received xxx application for permanent residence on March 9, 2015. (updated on May 13 2015)
2. We started processing xxx application on May 13, 2015. (updated today)
3. Medical results have been received. (updated on May 13 2015)

Even though the above looks confusing to me, what should I expect now from ADVO?

Seniors / experts it would be great if you could please shed some light on my above query.

I checked my ecas today, the Permanent Residence Application Status has been changed to "In Process"

We received xxx's application for permanent residence on December 10, 2014.
We started processing xxx's application on March 5, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

Me too!!

We received xxx application for permanent residence on June 3, 2015.
We started processing xxx application on August 12, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

I like to think my letters and posts and petitions finally paid off...based on the posts in the forum...it looks like a lot of people had their ECAS updated as well. At least that's what I'm going to tell myself ;)

I think previously this status was getting updated late in the process....so now they are doing their jobs and updating it at the beginning of the process (which makes sense)...so now to relax and not worry about our applications any more...until we get request for information, DM or etc.
