As CANCIT mentioned- ADVO is not very keen on sending out AOR. They will only send for Additional Documents ( if required ) within 3-4 months from the time of your Sponsorship Approval. In regards to ECAS - some members have a mental fatigue checking it everyday, but to be honest it is not very reliable and should be taken with a grain of salt.

To know what exactly is going on with your case, you should look into ordering GCMS notes. All the best.

Hey

When we do the upfront medical, what document are we supposed to put in our application to let them know that we are submitting an upfront medical?

i just got a e-medical sheet with a bar code, so you would put that sheet. the results of the exams are transferred automatically to CIC.

Hi

I had submitted my passport for final visa stamping along with a few other documents (family class sponsorship) to the Abu Dhabi embassy. I was suppose to get my documents back within 10 days, it is almost a month now. I just got a generic reply saying that they are a little overwhelmed by the increase in the number of applications. However, no communication has been done after that. We are a little jittery and confused as our original passport is with them.

Any number to contact or anyone who can answer the query. The number on the website has an automated message. You cannot speak to any agent.

Please help!!
TIA

Hey all. I spoke with someone at the embassy in Abu Dhabi regarding the Guide for Applicants in the Middle East (form was provided in an earlier post) and the following clarifications might be helpful

1) my husband who is a Syrian national but who resides in Dubai did not need to fulfill the requirements for "residents" of Syria (because he is no longer a resident of Syria

2) the forms called "Residents of Abu Dhabi" apply to all residents of the UAE (when I called the help line in Canada they said no, but the embassy here in Abu Dhabi clarified that it is intended for all applicants who are UAE residents and not just for Abu Dhabi residents)

Hopefully this helps,

C.

For 2), Are you sure it's just for UAE residents ? Or for all applicants that their visa office is abu dhabi.. For example my wife is a resident of QATAR, so our visa office is ADVO and we followed the middle east specific instructions, should we have included this form as well?

You need to fill in the Supplementary Form. I can't see how you would need to fill in the form for "Residents of Abu Dhabi" when she is not a UAE resident. But I can see how it's confusing because it also refers to cancellation of a "Gulf" residency.

You can try emailing the Abu Dhabi Embassy for clarification as it seems this form is very confusing to many people.

To me That form is required by the VO in Abu Dhabi, So any application going to the ADVO should include that form, regardless where the applicant resides.

Yeah i think it makes more sense that the title of the form should have been "Applicants to Abu Dhabi visa office" rather than "residents of UAE" or as it currently is "Residents of Abu Dhabi"..

Although I didn't send the form in my case :(

I wouldn't worry about it too much...the embassy called me after I had sent an email for clarification and they said it should say "Residents of the UAE"...not sure how long it will take to change it on their site. Based on what he said, they would likely ask you to send it if it's required. Maybe if you send an email for clarification asking if it's required in your case, they will respond to you as well.

You are not the only one, Am hearing few people not sending that form, it is on the checklist that is why i sent it, sending it wont do any harm. I think you still can send it once you get the AOR2, or when they request it.
