It depends on nationality. My wife also applied for visit visa before applying PR but got rejected. If you belongs to south Asian, countries chances for rejection is 99.99% but if you belongs Europe or south america you might get it. This is hidden discrimination.

Totally agree with you.

One of the members here got the Tourist Visa after 3 tries - the first 2 times the application was rejected by VOC, the third time a very strong emotional letter was written along with showing ties in the gulf. The application was then done in person at ADVO and visa was approved. So overall it is all how you approach it and yes I do agree with the form of discrimination to certain extent.

does anybody know what this means, i got a email dated March 10, 2015 from CIC basically saying this

"We are pleased to confirm receipt of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee for your relative(s). The visa office has been notified that the applicable fees have now been paid."

I've paid RPRF on MAY 29, 2014. Same day they requested it. also got my AOR may 29

RPRF ( Right of Permanent Residence Fee ) this is usually the last fee that they place into the system towards the end of processing your application. Sounds like you are almost there .

Hi Everyone. I landed in Vancouver, Canada 7th March. Please pray for me for my upcoming times.

Hi Impersso, thanks for bringing this up. Do you recall, when the application was done in person at ADVO, whether it was the sponsor that went to ADVO and applied? How long did have to wait? Was he/she seen the same day? Any more details would be appreciated.

Hi

I paid the RPRF ahead, and in the SA letter they asked to pay it again, just like Hanji case.

I sent a clarification request to ADVO, still no reply.

My payment receipt is 1040 CAD (475+70+490)

Hi guys. I'm a newbie

My husband and I are Saudi residents. My husbands sponsorship was approved on 14 March and the file has been sent to ADVO.

When does ADVO make first contact?

Any help with PCC and medicals in Riyadh is appreciated :)
