Congrates....!! Do you have any idea how the VO will contact you by Email/Post....?? How much time it will take by them to contact you.

What will be the next step?

happy for u lonely wife. Im sure ur not lonely anymore. I sent my passport to VO Manila las Jan 65they received it on the 7th but until now I havent receive it. I hope for those who are waiting they will hear good news soon.

Thank you lonelywife for the information and the quick response. I am presuming that I can only start checking ECAS once the file is in process for SA? Also, the date that you listed for appl filed, is that the date you sent your file for SA? Or is it the date that your file was transferred to ADVO?

do you have ur uci number? ur p r card number in the front is ur uci number. u can still check the ecas with ur uci now. but the file of ur wife will be active after SA..
april 10 was when mississauga cic received my file in Canada..

Hi lonely wife, in my case I got PPR request first dated dec 21 my consultant got an email on the same date submitted my passport on jan 5 and got DM on jan 12.j12.ask ur lawyer if she got an email.

do you have ur uci number? ur p r card number in the front is ur uci number. u can still check the ecas with ur uci now. but the file of ur wife will be active after SA..

Hmm I'm a citizen too, the uci number shud be on ur cad pp, below the photo coz tis uci numbr is ur actual file numbr as an imigrant, pr resident,citizen and evn wen u retire!

Hi muhammad azaan, I thought u have a consultant too. Dont get discourage just be patient and keep on praying. I hope soon u will hear good news from Advo..I wish the rest of u will get PPR soon.

My citizenship card has no # below my picture. Only number on the card is 7 digits, CIC website says UCI is in the format of 0000-0000, which does not match the # on my card. Anyway no big deal, as you mentioned I can't check my wife's status until they start processing file. I was hoping I can at least see if they have the file! All I know now is someone in the mail room receiving the package from the mail carrier. Thanks and I hope you don't have to wait much longer to hear from them.

If you have your landing papers - your Client ID number should be at the top right corner. Canada does not give away any more of those Citizenship cards - The Number on the older Citizenship card is and should match your Citizenship Certificate Number.

Once they start the whole process you will be sent a File Number along with the CIC Number - All the best.
