Hello Everyone

I sent the ADR (UAE police clearance and UK police clearance) on Jan 5 2015, which met the deadline for submitting the ADR. My husband is from Pakistan but working in Dubai. We sent the Pakistan police clearance with the original application but not the other two polices clearances.

Now my question is at what point does ADVO do the background/security checks? Before or after they request for additional documents from us?

From the bottom of my heart I wanna say thank u so much for ur help and pieces of advice bonty. Everytime I sent u pm u never failed to reply back to answer my questions. Especially to jmanuelcahill also for ur undying support by spening and sharing ur time with me on skype and fb everytime I need quick answer to my questions and confusions.

Thanks God I was able to get copy of my Ppr letter from the consultant without giving her additional payment. I hope those who are waiting process will receive good news from Advo.

Advo does the background checks after the additional docs, bcz when the whole file is complete, the visa officer opens ur file and starts the verification of docs..
The 1st police clearance u sent won't be verified until the file is complete wid the additnal docs. Evn if the Pol clearance is expired it doesn't mattr, the checks still go thru..

So far so good. Your application seems to have been initially accepted by CIC for PR for your wife.
The next step would be to wait for further instructions from CIC.
Btw, a bit later CIC would ask you to either quit UAE and settle in Canada in order to continue processing the application and/or give CIC a written assurance that you would settle in Canada once PR is approved for your wife.
