Hello All

This morning I received an email from CIC With the following subject "This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/10/15"

Any idea how long does it take for sponsorship approval after receiving confirmation email from CIC?

At present Sponsor Approval time is 53 days. prior to receiving Sponsor Approval you receive acknowledgement email (which you have received now) from CIC Mississauga and usually in a week to 10 days time you receive Sponsor Approval email again from CIC Mississauga where they also advise you of transfer of your file to the local visa office responsible for the region.

Yes we did, after the PPR when passport was not returned back on time and we inquired for status update, they replied, it is in queue for processing and we thought they haven't made a decision yet.

my ecas is changed to decision made and i sent my passport to ADVO on 26 nov and they received at 30 nov through aramex but till now didt heard anything from them does they took that much time? or iam getting worried for no reason

dun need to worry dude u ill get ur passport back with visa stamped with in 1 week INSHALLAH ..... I just want to make sure that did ADVO asked u to provide tha police clearance certificate of abu dhabi only or ur homeland's as well ? Did they asked to fo only 1 or both ? And secondly did they asked you to cancel iqama ?

Hi Everyone. Just giving an update. I already received my passport today with visa affixed. They stamped it on 26th November. I just sent them an email query this morning asking for status but they immediately replied that they have sent my passport on 3rd December. So if anyone of you wondering if they're off for 3 days due to UAE NAtional Day, the answer is no.

Anyhow, I would like to take this moment to thank everyone for all the help and moral support. It's not been an easy waiting game, but I'm telling you, it's worth the wait. Praying for everyone's fast processing so you could rejoin your families soon.

Normally it's 10 working days. I believe you're not from UAE, right? You may try to send them out an email for status update. I did the same thing and they replied to me asap. I just put on the subject top urgent and explained to them my situation as I already have a confirmed flight and my gulf visa needs to be cancelled beforehand.

Brother i live in KSA not in UAE thats why they asked me to submit police certificate from riyadh only before sending PPR.
And no till now they didt asked me to cancel my iqama but i think when i receive my passport with visa they will ask me to do so.
